Text

Coronavirus dictates my days
My life has changed in so many ways
I used to be free to come and go as I please
But now it feels like nothing comes with ease

I pass the time with my family inside
Sometimes it helps to get out for a bike ride
I enjoy doing things like learning from home
But I miss my friends and the freedom to roam

People are hoarding, the store shelves are bare
I hope when I need it TP will be there
My house smells like Lysol and lots of straight bleach
Oh how I long for the fresh air of the beach

Thank you to those who are helping my family and friends through this time
Like policeman, doctors, and the nice lady at the grocery store check out line
I don’t like wearing a mask I’ll readily admit
I’m looking forward to the day when I can stop and throw it in a pit
