The Rhode Island COVID-19 Archive was launched in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 global pandemic. It is a crowdsourced archive of observations, experiences and creative work about the impact of the pandemic on Rhode Islanders. This project is closed for submissions as of July 1, 2023. Contributions to this project will be maintained in the collections of Providence Public Library and Rhode Island Historical Society.
All experiences and observations were welcome - from the extraordinary to the everyday. The result is an site collection platform of remembrances and reflections of the individual and collective experience as well as an archive available to future historians and researchers attempting to understand this global health event.
