Title

Unity through shared isolation

Description

A collage depicting the isolation of lockdown and remote learning during Covid-19; connected to the solidary and digital unity of the share experience.

My experience with Covid learning was largely bad. I struggled to pay attention in zoom
classes and I felt trapped in my house, which got quite difficult after a long period of time. I
learned the value of in-person learning, while also gaining experience in independence that
usually doesn’t come until later in life. It was hard to be stuck in long zoom calls, especially
when everyone’s cameras were off and I was just staring at a blank screen for an hour. I wasn’t
alone, though, the whole world was struggling with me. In a way, it united the world and also
revealed underlying problems I hadn’t realized were even there. Some people couldn’t even get
access to good wifi for their classes. Now, I hope that people will be able to support and
sympathize for each other and the resources that they have, and work together to solve their
problems.
