This photo was taken on our first trip out of the house after the announcement that everyone should be wearing masks in public. We both wore bandanas held in place with hair elastics around the ears. I'd found instructions for making them online…

This was the image I received when I prompted my 5th grade art students to create a pattern using found objects. I was quite struck by the image and by the impact Covid is having on the lives of students.
