This screenshot shows the emails I've assigned the label "online events." These are event confirmation emails from the Providence Athenaeum, Providence Public Library, Brandeis University (my alma mater), DownCity Design, Association for State & Local History, American Ballet Theatre, Sephardic Brotherhood of America, and a Meetup group focused on the history and culture of Washington DC. Because we haven't been able to gather in-person, most institutions have moved their programming online. After several months of receiving emails about these online programs, I realized I could also subscribe to emails from non-local organizations whose content I might be interested in. I could enjoy a program streamed from Los Angeles just as easily as a program streamed from up the street. My email inbox was getting packed, not just with the program announcements, but also with the confirmation emails l received after registering for a program.
