Moses Brown Upper School Humanities teacher Edward Henry tasked his 9th grade world history students to create an expressive piece comparing the student’s own experiences & perspectives of Covid-19 with what they learned about The Black Death in 1300s Europe & North Africa. Students generated a broad range of work connecting the historic pandemic to their own, lived experiences. Collectively and individually, the students knocked their teacher’s socks off. My name is Alan Roseman. I have been an active photographer for more than 50 years. Street photography is my first love and the Covid pandemic called me to the near deserted streets of Providence, East Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls. Each excursion was painstaking for safety reasons as my age and health placed me in a high risk category. I felt the pandemic changed everything, my thoughts on the display of my work included. While it was never my goal, many of the images in the ongoing "Covid Days" album have won awards on the street photography sites internationally.
