<dcterms:description><![CDATA[For as long as we can remember, we’ve been checking books out of libraries: our school libraries, our public libraries, and even libraries we’ve cultivated in our own homes. But, in addition to books, we realize that libraries are hubs for hundreds of activities and interactions. Daily, libraries are entangled in so many systems that make our society work the way it does. As we’ve learned about how libraries serve their surrounding communities, we’ve witnessed the dense web of community that libraries create. We hope to share what we’ve learned in this video. ]]></dcterms:description>

One goal of the project was to give the students a way to share their experiences during quarantine and distance learning with their classmates even though they could not be together in person to wrap up their time in middle school. Another goal was to connect to what students had learned earlier in the year while completing their research for National History Day about primary sources and how they can give one a much more personal understanding of historic events.]]></dcterms:description>
