<dcterms:description>COVID-19 JOURNAL #4 WORLD AT MY WINDOW

Life in abundance comes to my window every day. I am not alone. "Beauty before me; with it I wander” (from a Navajo poem.) I look up from my desk and it can be a bluebird, an Oriole, a Grosbeak, an indigo bunting, goldfinches, catbirds, downies--I've seen 22 different species at the feeders this year--and that's only when I happened to be looking.
Not only do they bring life and beauty, they bring immense relief from listening to the sad, frustrating, and infuriating news bombarding us every day, all day. Not that one has to listen to it, but it is hard to avoid it altogether.
Thank God for the hopeful, the compassionate, the inspiring counterbalances coming from those among us who actually care about and honor human life.
Meanwhile, these lovely creatures carry on according to their design and nature, with never a protest, no politics involved.
